In spite of tales of economic recovery, the United States has failed to keep up with the third-world economies of two very poor countries, Peru and Bolivia.

In less than a year, the dollar is now worth only $.98 cents in Peru, a huge downward trend of 2% for the U.S. economy.

On the other hand, with our income in dollars, we are also losing money here in Peru. But with a living cost of 50% of US costs, it makes sense to live here anyway. Especially if you are dependent on the local economies or are investing money.
