Roof Terrace Umbrellas

Roof Terrace Umbrellas

~ by Mark Brooker, on a RTW trip

Taken on a restaurant rooftop terrace in Arequipa, Peru, on 23 October at 12:28. It was a beautiful sunny day.

What were your feelings or impressions when taking this photo?
It was too bright and the light too harsh for successful building shots but perfect for something backlit.

I liked the relatively abstract nature of the result and the symmetry of the lamps.

Arequipa reminds me very much of Salamanca in Spain, one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen. The architecture is very similar although the colour of the stone is different.

Camera: Canon EOS 20D plus Canon EF-S 17-85mm IS USM
