Medical Tourism in Peru?

Is it worth getting a ticket to Lima, Peru, for a common operation like a rotator cuff operation? Does anyone know about how much that would cost? Or other information on medical tourism in Peru.

I think it's probably about what other Latino countries charge or in that ballpark.

I had a spot on my nose that was biopsied and was skin cancer and had it removed with excellent plastic surgery for under $300 US. That was in Nicaragua.

I read that a good doctor/hospital in Peru charges around $1,000 for full-on pregnancy care and delivery.
