Inside - Peru
Find the best inside
information...
... not only Peru travel, hotels, tours, and wonders of the world
like Machu Picchu, but also its
... hidden treasures that are
no less exciting and inviting.
"Going to
Peru is ... well ... if you ever have an opportunity in your life
to go there, you should do it because it is absolutely mind boggling."
- actor Dean
Stockwell
What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you think
of Peru?
That's because these truly are some of the wonders of the
world.
Here we will cover not only those world-reknowned places but
will dig deeper into the culture, sights, sounds, tastes, adventure
of Peru travel and Peruvian life in a way that most other sites
just can't do.
Why is it that we can we
really, really get Inside PERU? We live here!
I (David) am Peruvian by birth. My wife Lin and I currently live in
Northern Peru.
But you won't be hearing just from
us. You'll see photos and read about Peru from real people
who are traveling and/or living in Peru.
Sharing experiences and getting
questions from the insider's viewpoint is what this site is
about.
Because of being right here in Peru, Lin and I as well as our other
contributors have the opportunity to find out first hand the
out-of-the way places...as well great suggestions for best
vacations, tours, and hotels that can be found inside Peru.
Well-known Spots Covered Include
Some of the Lesser-known Spots Covered Include
What is the most raved about destination among the younger crowd
in Lima, especially on school breaks?
It's not Machu Picchu or Titicaca...it is Mancora and the nearby
beaches of the Northern Coast of Peru.
You can get the full tropical beach rush as well as almost
perfect world-class waves coming off the Pacific Ocean...or find a
quiet beach where you can sip an ice-cold drink under the coco
palms.
Yet the coastal or beach areas are barely touched on by many Peru
travel guides.
- Peru's Cities, Towns, and Pueblos.
Where can you find locally-made beads and jewelry?
Do you know where real Panama hats are made in Peru?
What towns are noted for their Alpaca and other Peruvian textiles
and woven goods?
You find this inside information and more here.
- Peruvian People and Culture
What are the most populous indigenous groups and how can you tell
them apart?
What is the most fascinating fiesta day in Peru?
How do you say "hello" in Quechua, the Andean language that
descends from the Incas?
You find this inside information and more here.
What Lin and I really hope to do as we get the time is to
supply information that perhaps you have been looking for and have
had a hard time finding. I know that we have spent many hours
looking at a lot of good sites on Peru but just not finding some
things that were important to us.
Hopefully, we can begin to fill in those gaps on this site.
Do you have a favorite
story and/or photo you can share about your Peru experiences?

stories from other folks?
