Yes you can purchase pets in Peru, mainly what you would find in a pet shop in your country. However, if you buy a pet that is not a cat or a dog (or a guinea pig) and don't do it through a pet shop, it might be illegal. AndAlso, you won't be able to bring any animal back to your home country without going through a lot of paperwork and probably denying you the permission.
